Maya is a Psychological Associate in private practice and at the Mental Health and Addictions Program at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance.
Maya has provided therapy to a diverse clientele since 2007 and worked with people in a healing capacity teaching yoga classes and facilitating mind-body workshops since 1995. Her special interests include adolescent mental health, couples counselling, family therapy, women's mental health, fertility/infertility, prenatal/postpartum support, LGBTQ mental health, and gender non-conforming/transgender support.
Maya completed a master's degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. She is registered in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Maya's background includes training in Kriplalu Yoga, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, Vipassana meditation, and Ayurveda.
Maya integrates evidence-informed psychology treatments with meditation/mindfulness, yoga, and Buddhist psychology.
