Maya provides counselling and psychotherapy in private practice at Caldwell Psychology and for outpatients of the Mental Health and Addictions Program at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance.

Maya has provided therapy to a diverse clientele since 2007 and worked with people in a healing capacity teaching yoga classes and facilitating mind-body workshops since 1995. Her special interests include women's mental health, prenatal/postpartum support, infertility, couples counselling, family therapy, adolescent mental health, sexual orientation, and gender non-conforming/transgender support. 

Maya completed a master's degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto and is currently in supervised practice as a Clinical and Counselling Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Maya's background includes training in Kriplalu YogaPhoenix Rising Yoga TherapyVipassana meditation, and Ayurveda.  

Maya integrates evidence-informed psychology treatments with meditation/mindfulness, yoga, and Buddhist psychology.
