Maya has provided therapy to a diverse clientele since 2007 and worked with people in a healing capacity teaching yoga classes and facilitating mind-body workshops since 1995. Her special interests include women's mental health, prenatal/postpartum support, infertility, couples counselling, family therapy, adolescent mental health, sexual orientation, and gender non-conforming/transgender support.
Maya completed a master's degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto and is currently in supervised practice as a Clinical and Counselling Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Maya's background includes training in Kriplalu Yoga, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, Vipassana meditation, and Ayurveda.
Maya integrates evidence-informed psychology treatments with meditation/mindfulness, yoga, and Buddhist psychology.
